Denham: Tories need to look at their policies

John Denham MP, shadow business secretary, said in response to the publication of the review of women in business:

“We welcome the report and we will follow the progress made over the next few years. Our policy review will examine a case for a firmer approach in light of progress made by next election. There needs to be women at all levels, and in all jobs, from the boardroom to the Cabinet.

“The Tory-led government needs to look carefully at the consequences of its policies, like the Business Department which has cut the programme to support the number of women at the highest levels in science, engineering and technology.”
