Baron: Parliament should be recalled
John Baron, Tory MP for Basildon and Billericay, told the BBC that parliament should be recalled because of the letter committing to the removal of Colonel Gaddafi:
“I believe parliament should be recalled. This statement is a clear alteration to the original mission and that would justify a recall.
“When we debated this the case was put this was a humanitarian mission. Clearly that is no longer the case and maybe never was.
“If you were being charitable you could say this was an example of mission creep. If you were being uncharitable [you] could say it was an ulterior motive.”
