Barroso: These are exceptional measures for exceptional times

European commission president José Manuel Barroso responds to the new Greek rescue package agreed at the European summit last night:

"These are exceptional measures for exceptional times … Europe must never again find itself in this situation.

"Europe will do what it takes to safeguard financial stability. I've always said this is a marathon, not a sprint."
