Make UK comment on Keir Starmer speech

Commenting on the speech by the Leader of the Opposition, Stephen Phipson, Chief Executive of Make UK, said:

“Industry will support many of the messages in this speech, especially the commitment to sound public finances, investment in green infrastructure and the critical need to spread growth evenly across all areas of the UK. The stand-out for manufacturers, however, was the promise to deliver a long-term industrial strategy.
