Michael Ellis: ‘PM continues to maintain honour and integrity’
In response to an urgent question regarding the resignation of Lord Geidt, paymaster general Michael Ellis told the House that prime minister Boris Johnson “continues to maintain honour and integrity”.
Ellis told the House of Commons that the government were ‘disappointed” that the prime minister’s personal advisor Lord Geidt has taken the decision to resign.
Fleur Anderson, who asked the urgent question, told the House that one resignation from an advisor is “embarrassing”, but two is “a pattern of degrading democracy”.
