Anodyne, meaningless, regurgitated drivel of the highest order. There is barely any political content on here at all. It's like a village notice board with happy-face smileys daubed all over it. Selous is so desperate not to cause offence he omits anything of meaning. This is the worst of all possible worlds, because despite the relentless focus on local events there is no real engagement with constituents. He never actually speaks to any of them. His posts are more like tiny adverts in a local paper. The style of writing is so hideous it would hesitate before looking at itself in the mirror. "I will be voting for the EU Referendum Bill today to let the people decide if we stay or leave the EU," he writes, helpfully explaining what a referendum on the EU would entail. "Pleased to meet the Bishop of Bedford today to discuss Bedfordshire issues of mutual concern," he says, in case we thought they were meeting for an elaborate discussion on string theory. There is surely no mind so barren it could tolerate this tireless tsunami of guff. And yet 3,576 people follow this account. Who are they? What has gone wrong in their lives to bring them to this?
